MADE FOR MAC

About Sofla, the Mac app launcher.

Meet Sofla, the free native Mac app launcher created by Aleksei Iunes. Learn about its visual app grid, independent development, and browser demo.

Created for a familiar way to open apps

Sofla and this website were created by Aleksei Iunes. Sofla is an independent, free native Mac app launcher built around a full-screen grid. It brings app search, folders, Favorites, and recent applications together so you can find and open the software you use every day.

There is no account or subscription to create. Sofla is designed for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 26 or later. Check the installation page for the current download, compatibility, and first-launch instructions before installing it.

A focused launcher

Sofla is for people who want a visual home for their Mac apps and a keyboard shortcut to reach it. It can sit alongside Spotlight or another launcher. Our comparisons explain the different approaches and are published from Sofla’s perspective.

The homepage demo lets you explore a sample app catalog in your browser. It does not inspect your computer or open real applications. Organization controls in the native app are not all implemented in the demo.

Open development and contact

The native app’s source is linked from the website footer. Public bug reports and feature suggestions belong in its GitHub issue tracker. For direct support or questions about this website, use the email on our Contact page.

Our Privacy page explains local preferences, the demo’s temporary state, native update checks, and website hosting requests. We do not publish ratings or testimonials that have not been independently supplied and verified.
